[when leaning in for a kiss has him lifted like a sack of flour, Rin does in fact feel like this is unfair treatment. naturally, he's opening his mouth to exclaim it so, but -- Makoto's quiet hushing (and the hand palming his ass firmly) has sharp jaws snapping shut in something like stunned bewilderment. it also stops him from squirming out of Makoto's arms using a few indelicate maneuvers that would no doubt draw some attention to the fact that he's being carried into the house like a big prize from a summer festival]

[that being said, they reach his room without makoto offering much of any retaliation against rin, because he is kind of sleepy, despite the physical effort that is perhaps showing otherwise. makoto places rin on his bed, to stand on his feet (after making sure slippers were tossed off his feet). the sheets are rumpled, proving that makoto had been in bed before deciding to bother both king and rin.]

[makoto stands before rin, and at this height difference, he is trying hard to hide the grin on his face, hands holding lightly onto rin's own]

[there is something broken in Rin's brain, because he likes being manhandled as much as he absolutely hates it. it makes his reactions to when Makoto gets cute like this (in the obnoxious sense of the word, and also the not-obnoxious sense of it) somewhat disparate. as Makoto lays back, Rin's knees buckle, and he falls back onto the bed beside his boyfriend]

[and wastes absolutely no time headbutting him in the temple, and then biting much more pleasantly at his neck]

Stupid, what happened to that sweet guy on the phone? [an unflattering voice is put on] I don't want to make out, I just want to sing you to sleep! Riiiin~!

[the biting turns to kisses, but Rin's hands are rough on Makoto, refusing to let the other get any leverage or advantage over him after that ass-patting load-bearing display]

[and despite rin's rough housing, makoto ends up giggling and curling his legs closer to his middle in an attempt to push rin off. he's not trying very hard, however, and with rin's refusal to give an inch in makoto's favour, the outcome is quite obvious.]

[that part is true at least]

[hands press lightly against rin with no real intent to push the other off, one roaming to brush red hair back in an attempt at hair brushing. it isn't very successful, to say the least, even as makoto hunches his shoulders to escape this attack]

Don't remind me, oi! I could be asleep right now, too, but instead I have to deal with a guy like you... it's really a shame.

[Rin pins one of Makoto's arms to the bed, content to let the other one stroke through his hair (as he usually is, being in fact a cat). the biting is left off, at Makoto's quiet giggling and smiling, because he really can't resist a kiss when Makoto makes a face like that. god, he's in way too deep]

Let's get this over with. There's kissing, singing, and petting to get to.

[an amused pause]

[makoto bursts a loud laugh at that, unable to resist how stupid the situation is. that, coupled with late-night drowsiness likely to set in at any moment, anything can be particularly funny.]

[but he stops, and opens his eyes to look up at rin. he continues brushing his hair back, soft and slow, to elicit a positive response at the impromptu massage. there's nothing for it, at this moment, and in this position. all makoto really wanted was to have rin by his side, despite all the teasing and playing about.]

[makoto switches so easily, between playful and caring, it must be a little aggravating. he sits up, however, jostling rin off his position, and this time makoto encourages rin to lie with his back to the bed, annoying kisses to his forehead.]

[the comments and gentle touch, as always, catch him off guard in a most delightful way; it's exhausting, to be Rin Matsuoka, frankly. truly, he spends such a huge amount of time privately wishing and hoping and longing for a kind of unbiased, unconditional love. it shouldn't be this easy to get, is what his experiences growing up have taught him; but here he is again, cheeks growing red and eyes growing shifty. a pout forms on his lips (though the corners of his mouth always twitch, in this circumstances, like any moment a smile will disrupt his put-upon face)]

[as he's jostled beneath his boyfriend, Rin's hands catch on the planes of Makoto's chest, taut for all the aloofness he's trying to portray (as if Makoto can't see through that kind of thing instantly, by now)]
