[a huff, though he's not angry-cat displeased as he usually is. he's not too embarrassed of his actions, evident by the way he immediately justifies;]
You're my boyfriend, obviously I'm gonna be there for you when you need it. [a fact of life to Rin so blatantly obvious -- and unchallenged, with no physical distance between them yet] You'd be sitting in the dark eating tulips without me, definitely.
[another huff, and he finally stops petting Puddin to lean over the counter and kiss at Makoto's lips briefly, stalling any argument]
C'mon, it'll get cold...
Re: text, october 13 the great skeleton escape 2015
[that's almost an insult of what rin views makoto like in times of need and such. rin really sees himself as a knight in shining armour, doesn't he? that's amusing information, but also an endearing realisation.]
[shall they eat here on the counter? it seems fine...]
[makoto grabs at the chopsticks and starts picking at food on one of the bento.]
It's probably poisonous, for all we know.
Re: text, october 13 the great skeleton escape 2015
"For all we know?" Oi, aren't you supposed to be the florist, here?
[he picks up chopsticks likewise, digging in to the other bento on the counter. Puddin lays on the counter like he has just done quite a lot of work, instead of just stoop there and get scratches]
As the person who exclusively gets flowers from you, please don't send me any poisonous ones. Even if it's appropriate for the season.
[the spoopy scary skellytons and all]
Re: text, october 13 the great skeleton escape 2015
I was supposed to get pumpkins today. Momo wants to carve them like crazy, he won't shut up about it. Do you got pumpkins here?
[and perhaps Makoto should be flattered, that Rin gets so in the zone about looking after Makoto in times of need that his anal-retentive mental to-do list actually becomes fallible]

Re: text, october 13 the great skeleton escape 2015
[so much for the romantic path makoto was so sure this conversation would be taking (food, cat, and rin talking about flowers--which rin considers hella romantic, by makoto's reckoning), but all that is taken away with mention of momotarou.]
[makoto returns his hand from his attempted run at holding rin's hand, to be possibly followed by intense gazing into each others' eyes...]
[well, back to his food.]
Hn, there are. In the back. Though I'm not sure they'll be big enough for carving...
Re: text, october 13 the great skeleton escape 2015
[looks like shojo is a contagious disease; too bad Rin is also pulling back, getting to his feet in search of pumpkins. as you were, fatass boyfriend, with your only truly dependable love -- food]
Some little ones might be fine for now. Those're the kind you paint, right? -- Keep eating, I just wanna poke around quick!
[and poke he does, right through to the back. he emerges a few minutes later, an armful of gourds in hand -- some small pumpkins, yes, but also a bunch of those gross looking squashes with bumps all over]
He'll get a kick out of these ugly ones. He probably wants to pick out a carving pumpkin, anyway.
[tunktunktktunktutnk, gourds a plenty beside their bentos, Rin resuming his seat as Puddin jumps out of a boneless lay, startled to attention. what is this bullshit?]
-- Though it's probably gonna be a disaster. Gou hates cleaning out the insides.
[and who is the resident dumbass who'd probably chase her around with fistfuls of goopy pumpkin innards, proving his pumpkin expertise.......]
Re: text, october 13 the great skeleton escape 2015
[makoto wasn't going to stop eating even if rin hadn't told him to continue. he's grown way too comfortable in this relationship that he doesn't need to fear any reprimand from wanting to eat when rin is off being busy doing something else.]
[he glances up from his bento when rin returns with a few small pumpkins and gourds in hand, and sits up straighter as they are deposited on the counter.]
...I feel like you're doing this on purpose.
[the making momo even more disgusting to gou's appeal, with the whole pumpkin insides going on...]
[but makoto decides not to comment on that anymore. rin likes to deny the stuff he does with his sister's interests in mind, pretend that he's less (problematic) protective than what he really is. back to his food, enjoying some tempura.]
I've never carved out pumpkins. [quietly, looking down at his food. the more childlike, curious side of makoto is coming out.] I think I would like to give that a try, too...
